Taiwan Mobile (TWM) preferred to provide its 5G spectrum contract deal to NOKIA over Huawei worth $450 million. TWM is the second largest telecom company in Taiwan, first being Chungwa Telecom.
A three year contract provided to NOKIA by TWM involves deployment of 5G infrastructure by the end of the project.
“We have enjoyed a long standing partnership with Taiwan Mobile, supporting them in 2G, 3G, 4G networks and we look forward to continuing this in the area of 5G era as their sole supplier”, said Tommi Uitto in a press release.

According to the President of Taiwan Mobile, Jamie Lin, the two companies will be working together to promote ” Super 5G Strategy”.
